DESCRIPTION:Randy Harris and Leroy Hopkins will discuss the history of the Underground Railroad in Pennsylvania and the ways its history intersects with the Commonwealth’s massive 19th century investment in a multi-modal transportation system\, the ambitious project comprising roads\, canals\, railroads and inclined planes undertaken by the Pennsylvania legislature to link Philadelphia and Pittsburgh.
