Wrightsville – RIVERFEST: Underground Railroad Reenactment at the Mifflin Farm

June 28 @ 12:30 pm - 2:00 pm

$15

Another great Riverfest event.

Step into a powerful chapter of Lancaster County history with Living the Experience, a spiritual and interactive reenactment of the Underground Railroad presented by the talented performers of Bethel AME Church. Guests will journey through the stories of freedom seekers and local abolitionists who risked everything in the fight for freedom along the Susquehanna River.

Held on the lawn of historic Mifflin Farm, this moving experience takes place beside the very home where freedom seekers once found shelter before crossing the river toward freedom. Through live storytelling, music, and dramatic interpretation, attendees will gain a deeper understanding of the courage, faith, and resilience that shaped this region’s Underground Railroad history.

The performance begins Sunday, June 28 at 12:30 PM as part of Riverfest weekend. Tickets are $15, with proceeds supporting the ongoing work of Bethel AME Church and Living the Experience.

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and dress for the weather. A large shade tree provides natural cover at the performance site.
